35 Years before Tython’s Force Drought...

Princess Sarah Jeanne Kerrington stands in front of her mirror in her natural form. She wears only a night gown that reveals most of her legs and arms. The Princess tilts her head as she looks at her reflection. Her skin is hide-like similar to a boar and her skin tone is a sickly green. Her sunken cheeks blend into her jawline and a thin line runs down her forehead and creases the center of her narrow nose.

“Oh… Sarah Jeanne…” Llane says as he descends the steps into the Princess’s enormous bedroom. She looks back at him in embarrassment and then her gaze trails back into the mirror.

“Father…” Sarah Jeanne studies herself in the mirror before her large eyes shift to her father’s reflection. The blue slits in her eyes seem to focus on him rather intently. “Why do I look like this?” She asks, walking back to her bed and sitting at the foot of it.

“There is nothing wrong with the way that you look, Sarah Jeanne. I assure you of that…” Llane says, taking a seat beside his daughter and placing his hand on her shoulder to offer comfort.

“But mother-” Sarah Jeanne begins to say but is dramatically interrupted by a gasp in the doorway. Queen Thalyssra and a large Chiss woman stand at the entrance of the room. Thalyssra’s eyes burn with the fury of a thousand hells and the Chiss looks almost afraid of how SJ appears.

“Indomina… This is Tethroa… She is an extraterrestrial exchange scholar from Zolan… She has been studying with my daughter.” Thalyssra cranes her head to the side and gestures to the dining hall. “I have plenty of snacks set up. Why don’t you grab the kids and help yourselves?”

“You have my gratitude, your highness.” The Chiss bows before departing to the dining hall. Thalyssra slams the door shut behind her as she descends the steps and approaches the pair on the bed. She cocks her arm back and slaps Llane across the face before looking to Sarah Jeanne in disgust.

“You… Are despicable… You will do anything to stain this family’s legacy… Won’t you?” Thalyssra shakes in anger as she hisses words of hurt at Sarah Jeanne. “And you… You let her walk around this home looking like that?” Thalyssra looks to Sarah Jeanne and shakes her head in utter disappointment.

“Mother… This is what I look like.” Sarah Jeanne says, slowly standing up. Her 4’11 height is nothing compared to her mother.

“You think that because you can change your face that you can choose to look like this? This hideous creature?” Thalyssra scoffs, her eyes drifting to the ceiling. “I cannot even bear to look at you… Change your form at once. It is your sixteenth birthday and you will celebrate with our friends and family as Princess Kerrington… Not this disgusting street rat.” Thalyssra looks down to Llane and arches a brow as he gets to his feet. “Something to say, dear?”

“Your mother is just trying to help, Sarah Jeanne. We are a royal family… We have to keep up appearances… All of us, not just you.” He explains, reaching out to caress his daughter’s face but she immediately pulls away.

“But this is me! This is what I look like!” Sarah Jeanne shouts just a bit too loud for Thalyssra’s liking. The Queen backhands the Clawdite, the large stone from her ring making a deep gash under her eye. Sarah Jeanne falls to the floor and looks up to her mother in terror.

“You will change your form this instant… And if you ever raise your voice to me again, you may not recover from your next flesh wound.” Thalyssra hisses before exiting the room. Sarah Jeanne slowly gets up, forcing herself not to cry. Llane reaches out to take Sarah Jeanne’s hand before she swats it away angrily. “Don’t you dare touch me… Just go away… I’ll do what she wants…” The Clawdite turns and sits down on the chair in front of her vanity.

“I’m sorry, Sarah Jeanne…” He says before leaving the room and closing the door behind him. The Princess looks in the mirror and dabs the blood on her face with a washcloth before tossing it into her vanity drawer. She watches as her body morphs to take the shape of a human with green eyes and blonde hair. The cut on her face doesn’t appear on her human form. Sarah Jeanne looks back as the door to her room swings open and two Chiss who look incredibly similar rush in. They seem to be the same age as Sarah Jeanne.

“Zatun! Tiakia!” Sarah Jeanne exclaims happily when they run towards her wrapping her in a tight hug. These are Sarah Jeanne’s closest friends and for the longest time, she has had the biggest crush on Zatun but has been too fearful of his rejection to inform him of such affairs.

“Happy birthday!” The twins shout in unison with added giggles and laughter. “It’s been so long! I’ve missed you so much!” Zatun smiles as he holds onto Sarah Jeanne just a tad longer than Tiakia did.

“Zat, it’s been two weeks! I saw you at the opening of my mother’s laboratory!” Sarah Jeanne laughs at the Chiss who seems to revel in her company. “Oh, Tia! How have your dresses been coming along?” Sarah Jeanne tilts her head at the Chiss girl as the three go to sit on the bed together.

“Lovely as always! I’ve been designing a new line of gowns that can change colors at the will of the wearer!” Tiakia smiles, pulling out her sketchbook and showing Sarah Jeanne. There are about ten different styles of dresses sketched out onto the paper. Sarah Jeanne gasps at the largest and most poofy dress of them all.

“Oh, Tia! That’s so beautiful… I would love to wear something like that one day… If you ever open up your own store, I’ll be your biggest customer!” Sarah Jeanne giggles playfully as she leans back into Zatun’s arms. “Oh! I’m so sorry!” Sarah Jeanne immediately shoots back up, not having realized Zatun was behind her. The Princess begins blushing uncontrollably before she goes to sit in her vanity. “Sorry.” Sarah Jeanne facepalms, knowing that her undeniable awkwardness is making this so much worse.

Zatun and Tiakia both start laughing before Zat slowly gets up and walks around to stand behind Sarah Jeanne’s chair. He places his hands on the armrests and leans over the Princess, looking down at her reflection. “I’m going to go ahead and give you two some time to talk.” Tia winks at Sarah Jeanne and walks out of the room.

“You realize that I can tell you’ve taken a liking to me, right?” Zatun tilts his head, smiling at Sarah Jeanne. “I mean… I didn’t realize it when we were kids but now that I feel the same way…” He shrugs, looking around the room. “Say… How big do you think this room is?” The Chiss asks curiously.

“I… I don’t know… But about that other thing…” Sarah Jeanne trails off before looking at her own reflection. “I do like you… I think about you a lot… I just…” She hangs her head dejectedly knowing full well that he would never accept who she truly is.

“Sarah Jeanne… Dance with me.” He reaches past the Princess and picks up her music box before winding it up and letting the music play. He takes a few steps back and holds out his hand, formally bowing before the royal woman.

Sarah Jeanne laughs nervously as she gets up and takes his hand. “I can’t say no to a dance…” She smirks as she takes his hand. The Chiss man pulls her close and they messily step side to side as the song plays. “I’m sorry… You’re just really tall… It’s so hard to keep up.” Sarah Jeanne looks down at her short legs before Zatun pulls her closer, letting her step onto his shoes so that he could guide her completely.

“Better?” Zatun asks, tilting his head down at her as he prances around the room with her.

“It’s perfect…” Sarah Jeanne hugs the man as the music comes to a stop. She slowly moves back to her seat and smiles as Zatun places his hands on her shoulders after joining her.

“Can I give you your gift?” He asks, tilting his head at her reflection in the vanity mirror.

“Oh… If you’d like to, of course!” She exclaims, turning in her chair.

“Perfect… I just need a pen! I’m sure you’ve got one around!” Zatun reaches forward, pulling the drawer to the vanity open. His eyes go directly to the blood covered towel before he looks down at Sarah Jeanne with concern in his eyes. The Princess stares up at Zatun in horror of what he had discovered. The Chiss slowly picks the towel up and examines it.

“Sarah Jeanne… Are you hurt?” Zatun asks, looking over the Princess for an injury. “This was your mother… Wasn’t it? Did she hurt you?” Zatun begins to fume angrily before storming towards the door.

“Zatun, wait!” She shouts before the Chiss stops, his hand on the door. “Lock the door… I have something to show you…” She says, gesturing to him to come back.

“No, Sarah Jeanne. Someone needs to stand up to your mother and I’m tired of nobody telling her that she’s a raging lunatic!” He says in an angry fit. “Why shouldn’t I walk out there right now?” He asks sincerely as his hand drops to the lock on the door.

“Because you would have done the same thing…” Sarah Jeanne’s gaze drops to the ground.

The Princess sighs softly as he locks the door and walks back over to her. Sarah Jeanne slowly lets her guise drop revealing her true form. Zatun takes a cautious step back before he turns around and sprints out of the room and down the corridor into the dining room. Sarah Jeanne follows closely behind him, forgetting entirely that she is in her natural form.

“How dare you?!” Zatun storms into the dining hall, his voice raised at Thalyssra. The entire room is filled with diplomats, family, and close friends of the family. All eyes land on Zatun when he begins shouting but the attention shifts to Sarah Jeanne as she stumbles into the room behind him. Her heart drops into her stomach as she hears the disgusted gasps and screams of both adults and children. Indomina stands up and points at Zatun.

“Get away from that thing, Zezz'atun'pauskosee! It is a changeling from Zolan!” Indomina shouts, ordering her son away from the beast.

“Her name is Sarah Jeanne and I will not! Look at what the queen did to her!” He gestures to the gash across Sarah Jeanne’s face.

“I- I’m so sorry… I didn’t mean for this to happen…” Sarah Jeanne says in a timid voice directed at her mother. The queen’s icy stare focuses on Sarah Jeanne though she remains lethally silent.

“The queen is an abusive monster… Don’t you all see that? She has forced Sarah Jeanne to hide her face all of this time…” He looks back at her with a sense of defiance surging through his eyes. “And she’s beautiful.” He looks back to the crowd of people who don’t seem in agreement with him.

“It’s a monster, Chiss… It’s mother can do what she wishes with it.” One of the senators stands up and bows his head in respect to Thalyssra. Other murmurs in the room seem to sway towards Thalyssra’s side.

“You… have the nerve to call her a monster? Look in the mirror…” Zatun turns around and grabs Sarah Jeanne’s hand before running through the corridors out into the rose gardens.

“Zatun… You have no idea what you’ve just done… My mother will never allow me to see you again… Not after that…” Sarah Jeanne says as the man holds onto her hands tightly.

“I will not allow her to continue treating you this way, Sarah Jeanne… I won’t let her hurt you anymore… I want you to come and meet me at the spaceport tonight… We’ll get out of this together.” He says, lifting her hand to his lips as Sarah Jeanne’s heart flutters.

“I will try… But my mother may make that difficult.” Sarah says, looking down at the floor. “Thank you for standing up for me… But you didn’t have to lie.” She says, her eyes trailing back up to him. “My father says that I’m beautiful like this too but… I know he’s just trying to help me feel better. I know you would do the same…” She says, intertwining her hands with his.

“I wasn’t lying. I think you’re beautiful just the way you are.” Zatun says leaning down to kiss her on the lips. When he pulls away, he sees that she has changed back to her human form. He offers a smile before the two let go of each other and turn to go their separate ways. After the two depart, Thalyssra slowly steps out from a wall behind the rose garden alongside a man in a lab coat.

“The Spaceport… Well who am I to stand in the way of true love?” Thalyssra grins wickedly before turning to the scientist. “You said that the twins are both force sensitive? Perhaps they’ll have some use after all…” Thalyssra says dismissing the scientist.  The man walks away and a woman in black robes with a hood concealing her features steps out from a Force Cloak appearing behind the queen.

“Good… You’re here. I need you to take care of something for me…” Thalyssra turns around and hands the woman a vial of liquid. “Remove Indomina from the equation. I do not need her complicating things with my research. Make it look like an accident.” Thalyssra smirks at the shrouded assassin before turning on her heels to enter the penthouse.

Thalyssra wanders through the halls back to the dining hall where everyone awaits her return. The queen descends the steps and takes a glass from the table, raising it up into the air. “I raise this toast to my family… My friends… My allies… I raise this to you in all that we have endured together and to all of the prosperity that we shall claim in our very bright futures.” Thalyssra smiles as she drinks the water from her glass. As all of the people in the room drink from their glasses, there are sounds of acceptance and approval for her small toast.

A loud gunshot echoes through the penthouse as the glass window shatters behind Indomina. A laser slams through the Chiss woman’s back and blood spurts out of her chest, covering the table. The room fills with screams and fright as Tiakia drops to her mother’s side.

“Mother, please! Don’t go! You can’t leave Zatun and I alone!” Tia cries out. “ZATUN!” She screams out, holding her hands over the blaster wound.

“Tiakia…” An elderly Togruta leans over and pulls the Chiss child back, holding the girl in a tight embrace as she tries to break free. “Tiakia… Your mother is gone… I am so sorry…” The Togruta says in a gentle voice.

“Queen Kerrington! Are you okay?” One of two guards shout as they run into the dining hall. The men wear the Kerrington sigil over their heavy golden plate armor.

“There is an assassin on the rooftops!” The queen shouts to the guards, glaring across the horizon at where the shooter would have been. “Find them!” She orders, shooing them along.

“Take your emergency shuttles back to the Spaceport. It would be wise for you all to report to a safehouse until we figure out who this assassin is…” The queen announces as the crowd begins pouring out of the penthouse. After everyone leaves the room and departs from the penthouse, the queen strides over to Indomina. She reaches down and caresses the Chiss woman’s face. “You were such a strong warrior… A good friend… It is a pity that you had to go… Thank you for your sacrifice.” She says, closing the woman’s eyes.

The cloaked female figure reemerges beside Thalyssra, leaning against the wall. She slowly removes her hood revealing her identity. The woman has bright blue eyes and brown hair.

“Malevolence… I told you to poison her… To make it look like an accident…” Thalyssra stands up turning around and tilting her head at Malevolence. “Does this look like an accident to you?” The queen gestures to the body.

“I’m afraid that this isn’t quite my handiwork.” Malevolence tilts her head at the body. “It seems we have a second assassin on our hands.” She declares, glancing over to the rooftop.

“That… complicates things. Has my daughter snuck out just yet?” Thalyssra arches a brow at Malevolence who nods at the woman.

“She used the crowd to escape. Stowed away in the speeder that the Chiss girl was taken in.” Malevolence grins and picks up a glass of wine before swigging it back. “This tastes despicable…” Malevolence spits the aftertaste out of her mouth.

“We do not drink because it tastes good… We-” Thalyssra stops as a blaster is cocked behind her. The queen slowly raises her arms into the air and turns around to see Zatun aiming a weapon at her chest.

“Y-you killed my mother… You’re doing something bad and… I’m going to tell everyone…” He says, raising the gun at her head. “Right after I kill you…” Zatun goes to pull the trigger but the trigger doesn’t move. Malevolence, using the Force to keep the trigger in place, flings the weapon across the room.

“Now now… Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, little Chiss.” Malevolence grins as the boy’s fear grows. He turns to run before Malevolence grips him with the Force bringing him to his knees before Thalyssra.

“You, my boy…” The queen reaches down, tilting the boy’s chin upward. “You and your sister are going to change the galaxy…” She smiles before moving aside so that Malevolence can walk up to Zatun. Mal places her index finger and middle finger onto the boy’s forehead causing him to instantly fall into a slumber.

“Enjoy your nightmares…” Malevolence turns to the queen and bows. “I will retrieve the other child. What will we do with your daughter?” The woman asks in the direction of the queen.

“Let her go and meet her love… Let her wait. Let her suffer until she has nowhere left to go but her caring mother’s arms…” The queen cackles lowly as Malevolence tosses the boy over her shoulder, taking him out to the speeders.

“You are a saint.” Malevolence remarks as she leaves the penthouse with the Chiss child in her arms. Mal drops the boy into the trunk of the speeder before beginning her descent towards the Spaceport.

I look around at the landscape around me… It is void of hope. A greyish landscape rises around me forming a valley of decayed ground and nature. Headstones of graves are planted all around me in a circular pattern. A short androgynous figure in grey robes stands over a distant grave.

“Hey! Who are you? What is this place?” I ask, walking up to the person in the robes. “Hello?” I ask as I walk up to the person. I grab the back of their robe and pull back. The robe simply falls to the ground for nobody was wearing it in the first place. It was just… floating. I turn around to look at the robe on the ground.  A half-naked woman stands over the robe but she has no face. Where her face would be is just skin. The woman’s hair is tied up into moon buns and her skin has thousands of markings covering it.

“Who are you…?” The boy asks, watching as the woman walks up to one of the graves. She kneels down and touches the headstone reading Kira Valor. “Is that your name?” He asks curiously as the woman slowly stands back up and faces him.

Not yet… I am no one yet for I have not come to exist… A comforting female voice enters Zatun’s head.

“You haven’t come to exist…? How are you here?” He asks, looking over all of her marks. The markings on her frontside are carefully drawn and the markings on her backside are crude and almost primitive.

You are in great danger, Zatun. You have been taken by queen Thalyssra. She and her scientists want to do terrible things to you and your sister… I have come to help you. The voice echoes in the innermost depths of his mind as he looks at the woman in fear.

They will make you forget… They will take your memories… But they cannot take this… The figure steps forward and places her hand onto Zatun’s forearm. The two scream out in pain as one of Kira’s markings vanishes from the center of her neck. It reappears on his forearm as the visage of Kira removes her hand from him.

Chronathis. Remember this word. Carve it into your mind so that they cannot take it from you. It will save you… The voice echoes as the visage of Kira drifts away into the wind.

“Wait! What… What do I do next…” He asks as he falls to his knees and looks down at the marking on his arm. “Thank you…” He whispers, rubbing the marking.

“I have the second child.” Malevolence says into her communication device, looking to the back seat of the speeder where Tiakia lies unconscious. “Though her caretaker died in the process.” Mal explains before turning the corner and descending down to the front steps of a massive building with blue glowing letters over the entrance reading Kerrington Labs

“Very good. I have their chambers prepared. I will have my men aid you with the children. You have done well, Malevolence. I believe it is time that we begin working on your repayment.” Thalyssra smiles on her side of the communication device.

Two men in black attire with the Kerrington Labs logo (A Rancor head) collect the children and escort Malevolence into the lab. They deposit the children into cells where they are strapped down to tables and hooked up to machines.

“They will remember nothing but their names when they wake up. A clean slate.” Thalyssra nods as the scientists in each cell conduct the memory wipes. Malevolence follows the queen down a series of halls until they reach an elevator. “Are you ready?” Thalyssra asks, looking to the other woman curiously.

“I have been ready for a very long time, Thalyssra.” Malevolence nods, entering the elevator with the queen. The transport descends the shaft for about two miles into Coruscant’s crust until it finally dings open to reveal a very advanced laboratory. In the center of the room, a large glass cylinder filled with blue liquid bubbling slowly.

Papers lie all around the room that have names, places, and markings written over them. The two walk up the steps to the platform in the center of the room and approach a desk with papers piled neatly atop. “Some individuals are stronger with the Force than others. It comes with both natural affinity and practice. Once I determine how to transfer that power from one of the twins to the other… We will proceed with creating the prototype of experiment 35-A.” Thalyssra smirks, placing her hand on the glass cylinder.

“Her name is Kira.” Malevolence glares at Thalyssra before her vision shifts to the water tank. “How long will it take?” She asks, looking over to the woman.

“Hard to say… But when I have a timeline, I will inform you.” Thalyssa remarks, picking up one of the papers and handing it to her.

“I have only experimented on animals before, Thalyssra. I have not created a human being. Understand that complications may arise if we work too quickly. This will take time… You must have patience.” The queen explains before walking back towards the elevator.

“Patience…” Malevolence mutters as she reads over the document which is filled with symbols that are crossed off with a red marker. “What is this?” Malevolence looks up as the elevator opens.

“One of the reasons we will need time. We must acquire more of these ancient runes but they are nearly impossible to find… I assure you that we will finish this. I will see Project Titan to the end.” Thalyssra says before boarding the elevator. As the queen departs, Malevolence sits down in her chair and picks up another paper with Kira written at the top of it. She smiles at the paper before leaning back and holding it against her chest.

“I love you already, Kira… I can’t wait to meet you…” Malevolence whispers as scientists begin to fill the room, working around her diligently on the project.

Sarah Jeanne stands up from her seat at the Spaceport terminal after waiting eighteen hours for Zatun to show up. Her heart sinks to her stomach as she realizes that he probably never wanted to be with her. It was all just another ploy to embarrass her. The young Princess walks out to the front of the Spaceport and hails a taxi speeder that delivers her home. She walks up the steps to see her mother standing in the doorway.

“Sarah Jeanne… There is something we must speak about.” Thalyssra gestures for her daughter to come inside. She seats the princess on her bed and stands in front of her feigning remorse. “Indomina was assassinated yesterday after you left the penthouse… The assassin followed Senator Illythis and sabotaged her speeder… Tiakia and Zatun… They were involved in the crash… There were no survivors.” The queen explains with a tinge of sadness in her voice.

“What…? No… Who would do this? Mother… Who would do this to them?!” Sarah Jeanne begins to sob, crawling into her bed and crying into her pillow.

“I know it hurts… But death is a necessary part of life, Sarah Jeanne. I will allow you to be alone now. Rest well… You will be expected to host your banquet tonight regardless of recent… developments.” The queen grins as she stands and exits the room.

For the remainder of the day, Sarah Jeanne cried into her pillows. When night finally came, she put on her fake face and hosted the banquet with the other princesses just as her mother commanded. For every night that passed after this dreadful day, Sarah Jeanne began to watch her mother leave for the labs and then return… Every night… Sarah Jeanne wondered what it was that her mother was working so diligently on.

Two years later…

“Zatun!” SJ shouts, shooting one of the laboratory guards with her blaster. She deactivates the cell and rushes in to help Zatun. “You’re alive… I knew it… I knew you weren’t gone…” She whispers to the half unconscious man.

“Who are you…? Are you here to hurt us? Please… Don’t hurt my sister...” He looks up at the woman with pure fear in his eyes.

“Zatun, it’s me… Sarah Jeanne… What has she done to you…?” SJ rushes out of his cell and unlocks Tiakia’s. She is sitting on her bed in deep meditation. Sarah Jeanne walks over and shakes her leg. “Tia, I need your help. Your brother can’t remember anything and I need to get you both out of here.” She explains before the Chiss woman opens her eyes.

“Who… are you? Why do you want to help us?” Tia tilts her head at SJ before slipping down off of the table.

“Not you too…” SJ shakes her head in denial before taking Tia’s hand and walking her over to Zatun’s cell. SJ swings Zat’s arm over her shoulder and gestures for Tia to do the same.

The second Tia touches Zatun, the twins go flying in opposite directions. SJ rushes over to the Chiss man and helps him to his feet as Tia gets up on her own. “Sarah Jeanne…” Zatun whispers, reaching down to caress her face. “Where are we…?”

“My mother’s laboratory… I don’t know what she’s been doing to you but… I am so sorry… We all thought you were dead…” She sighs, holding onto the man tightly. “I thought I would never see you again.” SJ says as boots echo in the doorway. The soldiers fire lethal blaster bolts at SJ and Zatun and just before they reach the pair, Zatun’s eyes gloss over with a white cloudiness.

“Chronathis.” Zatun says in the voice of one thousand people rather than his own voice. Time stops around The twins and SJ. The three look around as the blaster bolts are suspended in the air and the guards are frozen in time.

“How did you…” Tiakia begins to ask but is cut off by SJ pulling both of them along down the corridors to the speeder waiting outside.

“Doesn’t matter. We don’t know how long that’ll last. Let’s get out of here…” SJ says, helping them both into the speeder. Zatun’s eyes slowly turn red again and as the speeder lifts off of the ground, the soldiers run outside to see the hover vehicle flying away. Thalyssra slowly strides outside and watches the speeder drive off into the horizon.

“We’ll go get a speeder and track them down, your highness.” One of the men says. The queen waves her hand in dismissal. “We have what we needed from the twins… Besides… I don’t need my daughter murdering more of my men.” Thalyssra turns and walks back inside. “Prepare the cells. I will find more subjects. Until then, please make yourselves more useful when it comes to protecting the laboratory.” She glares at the men before retreating to her office.

34 Years after the assassination of Indomina

A short Zeltron woman hands SJ a credit chip and looks over to the Hungry Sheepdog Tavern. “Ten thousand credits… Please just… Get him somewhere safe.” Eoni asks the bounty hunter with a sense of remorse in her tone.

“You know… It’s not very often I take jobs from people who just walk up and ask like this.” SJ shrugs, pocketing the credit chip before looking to the tavern.

“You’re one of the only people around here with a ship. I need your help…” Eoni pleads before taking SJ’s hand in her own.

“Yeah yeah… I’ll take care of it. Now run off before I change my mind.” SJ remarks before Eoni sprints into the darkness. SJ sighs softly and takes a few steps towards the tavern.

“Master!” Effie’s voice echoes over SJ’s communication device. “Master! Help! Pirates are taking the- Oh no… I must hide, master!” Effie cries out before the transmission cuts out.

“I’m coming, Effie!” SJ shouts, barging into the tavern. Althea sits down alone in the center of the room fiddling with a plate, wiping it with a washcloth.

“You’ve come for my son.” She tilts her head at the woman, gesturing to the door. “I heard everything… You won’t be taking him.” She says, standing up and walking towards SJ.

“Look, lady… I don’t have time for this. I need to get back to my ship and help my droid and I was paid a lot of credits for this.” SJ remarks, looking to the staircase.

“You will not take my son.” Althea says, waving her hand as she uses the Force to persuade the bounty hunter.

“I… I will not take your son…” SJ slowly backs out of the tavern and sprints back to her ship. “I’m coming, Effie…”
